What happens if we skip the URS?
Skipping or writing a poor URS often leads to design gaps and compliance issues. You may end up with machines that don’t meet production needs or lack critical GMP features. Pharmaguideline warns that a vague URS causes “excessive costs associated with redesigning and qualifying equipment due to lack of clarity”. Always start with a good URS – it’s the most efficient path to a compliant, on-spec system.
