  3. Separation of Finished Softgels and Residual MaterialWhile observing the die roll section, Lesley noticed a copper-colored plate beneath the rollers and asked about its purpose. Finished softgels dropped onto the conveyor belt, while the excess gelatin was guided downward by the copper plate for clean separation.
